How we prepare our guides and recommendations

A gardening recommendation may rely on published sources, an observation of an installation, or a hands-on test. These are different kinds of evidence. Tu Jardín Pro describes the evidence available and its limits; unless a page documents a test, it should not be read as a product trial.

What we check

Define the question. We clarify the intended use, garden type, language and market. A tool or fertilizer can vary by region, model and version.
Consult relevant sources. For product data, we look for manufacturer documentation. For growing, installation and safety advice, we prioritize public agencies, universities and horticultural organizations. We link sources near claims that depend on them.
Check linked product identity. When a page includes an affiliate link, we check that the identifier leads to the intended item in the stated marketplace. We also review visible variants and whether an offer appears at the time of review.
Separate data from evaluation. Manufacturer specifications, a retailer’s listing and customer reviews are not our own tests. We describe reviews only when they have been consulted and their context matters to the decision.
Describe limits and changes. Availability, price, variants and commercial documentation can change. An update date does not guarantee a store still shows the same details; confirm current information with the original source.

Documentary research, observation and testing

Documentary research: a synthesis of manuals, product sheets and published sources. It does not mean that we used the product.
First-hand observation: describes a place, crop or installation documented by the team, with context and a date.
Hands-on test: should explain the method, conditions, available measurements and what the results cannot establish.

Most product recommendations are based on documentary research, not laboratory testing. We do not claim a lifespan, result or compatibility unless the sources we reviewed support it. For plants, local climate, variety, soil and watering can change the outcome; follow product labels and consult a local professional when the decision requires it.
